The Nam Career Service is one of the largest Facebook pages in Namibia and has become a popular contact point for young people seeking advice on education and career guidance since it was founded in September 2013. Many young people in Namibia are looking for orientation for the time after school, which their teachers often do or cannot provide them with. There is no shortage of offers. There are 34 government accredited educational institutions across the country. There are also dozens of centres where carpenters, painters or craftsmen are trained. However, many are not aware of these possibilities. In addition, there is the hurdle of financing, since all courses of study and training cost money that many cannot afford. However, many companies and organisations offer scholarships, of which many are often unaware. Our team searches newspapers and the Internet every day to find these offers and make them accessible to our users. With the Nam Career Service we have founded a platform which did not yet exist in Namibia and could establish a very good reputation through our free service.
